Appliance Testing

Our aim is to offer a premium service in appliance testing in the area, enabling you to fulfil your obligations with regards to equipment safety with confidence. 

Our service covers portable, fixed and three phase appliances. 

We aim to use the most up to date appliance testing equipment and with our vast experience and expertise in appliance testing we are eminently placed to help you comply with your legal obligations.

During the testing process our engineers will employ their extensive experience of operating in occupied residential and work environments to ensure that we minimise any disruption to your operations and therefore only disconnect any items when it is necessary for a particular test.

Once testing is completed we will email you with a detailed report showing you what has been tested, the test results plus if anything has failed and the reason as to why.

All our testing is carried out fully in accordance with the latest Institute of Electrical Engineers' (IEE) code of practice and all out test engineers are DBS checked. 

 

 

We are also an NICEIC  registered PAT testing company. This means that our work is regularly checked by an independent body for compliance with the high standards imposed by the NICEIC.

Microwave Testing - We also offer a microwave oven leakage testing service to compliment our appliance testing service, this can be carried out at the same time as the appliance test. 

  

What do we do on site :
​

  • All portable items are to be checked and recorded on a digital appliance tester.

  • Plug top to be checked, replaced if damaged or replaced if the plug has un-sleeved pins

  • Fuse sizes are to be checked and if necessary replaced 

  • Flex to be reconnected to either appliance or plug if required.

  • Visual checks of the appliances and flex to be carried out to check for any possible damages.

  • Microwave ovens to be tested for radiation leakage in line with BSEN 60335-2-25 2002 requirements for microwave ovens.

Additional Information 

 

  • All our staff are DBS checked.

  • All appliance testers are qualified to City & Guilds 2377 Portable Appliance Testing theory and practical standards

  • Logos can be used to head the electronic results sheets

  • Shortly after testing in completed, we will send you the certificates by email as a PDF file .

  • We have no minimum number of tests required.
